Random notes about the game of bridge

Bridge tournaments are won with good judgment and card play skills, not conventions.

Learning is a constant process of discovery - process without end.

Is self reflection the secret to success?

A Grand Mistake.

21 Rules of Being a Good Partner.

Defense is difficult. Your partner has lots of tough decisions that he won't always get right. While you might think you know everything and that partner has erred, maybe he hasn't. Maybe you gave him the wrong signal. Maybe he thought of something you've overlooked. Perhaps his play would have worked on a different layout. Believe it or not, your partner is trying his best. If you criticize and question him, it will make him play worse. Bad vibes are created and the rest of the session will likely be miserable for both of you. Save your (mis)analysis for after the session.
